Did you know that socks are one of the most requested, but least donated items for people experiencing hardship? Let’s change that – one pair at a time. 💛We are leading this effort to bring comfort and care to our students, and we’re inviting schools and community members to join in!
📍 Look for collection boxes at every APS school and locations throughout the community.
🧦 All donations go directly to students who need them most.
🎯 Goal: Warm feet, full hearts, and a stronger, more connected community.
Let’s make this the coziest and kindest Socktober yet! 🧦💛

Last year, we asked you to share your thoughts as we began developing our Framework for the Future, a long-term strategic plan. Thanks to your valuable input and the hard work of APS teachers, students, families, administration, and community members, the strategic plan has been developed, and we are moving forward with implementation.
As we continue this work, Alamogordo Public Schools, alongside the School Board and our partner, Learner-Centered Collaborative (LCC), are launching three new learning cohorts. These groups will focus on implementing our Framework in classrooms across the district—helping us ensure that our students are truly college, career, and life-ready.
To guide this next phase, we are seeking more in-depth insights from our families and community members. Your voice is vital to this process. By completing the survey linked below, you will help shape how our schools grow, how our students learn, and how our community continues to thrive.
Please take a few minutes to complete the survey by Friday, September 26th: https://bit.ly/APSimpact2526
You can also visit our Framework for the Future webpage to learn more about this work and stay updated on our progress: https://www.alamogordoschools.org/page/framework-for-the-future
We greatly appreciate your time and thoughtful participation. Together, we are building the future of learning in Alamogordo.
